Culture and it effect on a childs cognitive development


Vygotsky is one of the first pychologist to encourage social educational learning.  Which just means that students working together to help each other learn, which is also know as scaffolding.

Vygotsky also looked at the social and cultural difference of each student to help understand how a child's learning development is.  He thought that the socioeconomic status and culture of a student had a great impact on a chid cognitive skills.
